ABOUT EPISCOPAL PREACHING FOUNDATION

The Episcopal Preaching Foundation (EPF) was founded in 1988 by Dr. A. GaryShilling, an economic consultant and investment adviser who is well known for his appearances in Forbes, New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg as a commentator. Gary believes that sermons in his Episcopal church will help church attendees and attract newcomers. Through programs like the Preaching Excellence Program (PEP) for Episcopal seminaries, EPF works with the church’s clergy to enhance their preaching skills. EPF’s mission is to improve, support, and enhance the level of preaching in the Episcopal Church. Every year, the alumni list continues to grow to now over 3,000, including the former Presiding Bishop, Katharine Jefferts Schori, and the current Presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, who serves at EPF’s honorary chairman. EPF is a 501(c)(3)non-profit organization.
