  • IONA Collaborative: A new Web-based self-study homiletics course resourcing students in 24 dioceses participating in The Iona Collaborative’s local formation programs. Participating postulants studying in diocesan formation programs will soon be able to supplement their periodic classroom study with this self-paced enhancement that combines lectures from distinguished EPF Faculty including Prof. Tom Long and Rev. Dr. Stephen Smith with coordinated reading and homework assignments. This represents the next stage of the Foundation’s commitment to supporting local clergy formation programs, which are becoming an increasingly significant option for future clergy.
  • Candler School of Theology. Dean of Anglican Studies Lang Lowry was sufficiently moved by reports from this year’s Candler cohort attending PEP, to invite the EPF to deliver an on-site “Mini-PEP” in January 2020. The 3-day Homiletics Intensive will be delivered by EPF’s PEP Faculty members including past Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori and Faculty regulars Christine Parton Burkett, Kim Jackson, Nikki Mathis, and Stephen Smith.
